NRA Basic Pistol Course
Not ready for Concealed Carry or just need a refresher? This class is intended for all individuals regardless of shooting experience. The course covers gun safety rules, proper operation of revolvers and semi-automatic pistols, ammunition knowledge and selection, pistol selection and storage, shooting fundamentals, pistol inspection and maintenance, marksmanship, and shooting range safety. Additionally, students will complete live fire training and a nationally standardized shooting qualification while on the range with an NRA Certified Instructor. A certificate in this course can be used to satisfy the first 8 hours of the IL Concealed Carry course.
Cost includes instruction, use of a class firearm, ammunition and targets.
Range fees are not included in the cost.
